A successful two-day business mission was held at CERN in Geneva from a team of TETTIX with the support of the Association of Industries of Northern Greece, the Association of Exporters of Northern Greece and other institutions in the city.
During this mission, our company has had the possibility to apply for one or more CERN competitions and supplies for 2019.
On the first day of the briefing at CERN’s premises, our business representatives had the opportunity to be informed about the progress of CERN’s cooperation with other companies, by CERN International Relations Director, Mrs. Charlotte Lindberg Warakaulle.
The Managing director of the company, Mr. Nikos Morenos, said that “we decided to invest in cooperation with CERN. Many people have been surprised for our insistence on forming such a close relationship with a global organization, taking in consideration the small size of our company. However, the transfer of knowledge from CERN in robotics and artificial intelligence will open up new ways for TETTIX in the future in sectors, we have to explore”.
The technical director of the company, Mr. Dimitrios Savvidis, referred to the cooperation between the two parties (CERN and TETTIX), following the signing of the cooperation agreement with the Central Macedonia Region, and pointed out that “our aim is to extend this cooperation with CERN in such a way, that can only be fruitful and productive for our company”.
CERN Business Leadership Transfer Manager, Mr. Nikos Ziogas, referred to examples of businesses from around the world, which are working with CERN to deliver significant benefits, but also the areas where the company is responsible for its procurement. On day two, B2B meetings took place within the business mission. CERN executives from the robotics lab addressed the issues of their immediate needs and discussed with our team for participation in CERN supplies.
Finally, they were guided by the CERN experiment, the ATLAS, and the accelerator.
